$750 Fine for Removing Fire Inspection Order

BRANTFORD, ON – Oct 15, 2015 –  A Brantford landlord pled guilty in Provincial Offences Court today to removing a fire Inspection Order that was posted on her rental property. The Inspection Order had been posted by the Brantford Fire Department as a result of previous discovery of fire code violations. The property owner, Adalgisa Protopapa, was fined $750 for removing the posted Order. “Inspection Orders are posted to make occupants and visitors to a property aware that fire code violations do exist at the property and that the fire department is working with the building owner to get the violations corrected as soon as possible” said Fire Prevention Officer Darren Zettler.
