Woodstove Safety

A safe wood burning system consists of:

  • A safety certified stove, fireplace or furnace
  • The right type of chimney for the appliance
  • A system design that avoids safety compromises
  • Reliable advice on safe installation, or preferably, installation by a qualified professional

Before you make decisions about your new hearth, visit at least two specialty stove and fireplace retail stores and ask a lot of questions.  Only then will you begin to get a balanced view of how to match your needs and objectives with a system that will achieve them.

The choices you make now will pay off later in comfort and piece of mind.
